Our Story

We want you to get to know more about our Fine Art Fabric. Hopefully, this additional information will help to build your confidence in us and tell you more about who we are.  My name is Tonya.  I am your design fairy.  I design some of our fabric art as well as print from vintage images. I do all of the mailing and manage our website.  My husband, Ron, is my "engineer".  He takes care of the equipment and does the printing. We are located in North Carolina where I have lived my entire life and I love it here.  Ron is originally from Virginia.  We have been in business for more than fifteen years.  We look forward to making new friends through our online business. We think you will love the quality of our work. 

Fine Art Fabric is my passion.  I have been collecting the vintage images that we use for many years.  With each new image that I find, my excitement is as if I have just discovered buried treasure. I am like a kid in a candy store. These images have so much history behind them. Some date back to the 1800's. Quite a few in my collection are very rare.  If only they could talk! I sometimes wonder whose hands have held them and what is the story of the people behind them? I wish I had one dollar for every minute I have spent on Google looking for these rare jewels. Many times when I get out of my chair, my butt is numb from searching so long. Anybody know that feeling? Come on now!

Besides our business, we enjoy many other things.  I love to cook and I am into keto and all healthy food.  However, I like junk too and sometimes I just pig out on some good Southern cuisine, especially the sugary ones! Ha.  Not so good but good to my taste buds.  I adore animals. I have about 30 feral cats. I feed them well and spend time with them. Then there is the menagerie in my home.  I have two chihuahuas, Peanut and Lyla. They are both spoiled rotten brats. Let me not forget my three indoor cats,  Kitty Fred who is fat and so sweet.  There is Ginger who is part Siamese and so smart.  Last but not least is Toffee, my big old gentle teddy bear, who happens to be a huge Maine Coon.  No wonder I need this business.  Food and litter are breaking me!  All of these animals are my babies and my husband fawns over them like they are toddlers. Our ongoing joke is we agree we are never divorcing because we can't and won't separate our animals.

As for Ron, he is into woodworking.  That is about it.  No hunting or fishing for him.  A good meal and a television show is what he enjoys.  We are as different as night and day. I am the tenacious one. He is quieter than me.  Guess that is why friends call me mouth of the south.

I  enjoy  watching television too and  I like some reality shows.  Ron hates them and does something else while I watch my crazy shows as he calls them.  I enjoy restoring my vintage images, learning new things, crafting, and reading. I try to spend time each day in my Bible. Did I mention I am a Dollar Tree addict?  Have to keep my craft supplies a mile high!
